Opening up many commercial opportunities for the hydrogen refueling station solution

McPhy Energy, specialised in hydrogen production and storage equipment for industry and energy markets, which recently expanded its product range by integrating a hydrogen refuelling station pump technology, has just been awarded its first project in France to equip a station to be built in Lyon.

This station will be delivered at the end of 2015 to GNVert, the sustainable mobility subsidiary of Engie Group, as part of the first phase of the Hyway program. This program coordinates the deployment of utility vehicles, Renault Kangoo ZE-H2 hybrid fuel cells with hydrogen-range extenders (HyKangoo) built around several hydrogen refueling stations in the Rhône-Alpes region, including the one to be built in Lyon.

In addition to production by water electrolysis and intermediate storage, the McPhy Energy hydrogen refuelling station solution now integrates vehicle refuelling pumps after concluding an exclusive technology and commercial agreement in April of this year with AJC. Created by Jean-Michel Joly, this company has significant expertise in high-pressure gas grids and in particular pumps supplying natural gas that have been adapted to hydrogen refuelling.

This unique solution offers numerous commercial opportunities in France and international markets. A team specifically devoted to this rapidly developing market has been set up at McPhy Energy for that purpose.
